We live in a world of pretties. Even the youngest of girls feel pressure to be skinny, diet, wear make up and wear the tightest and shortest of clothes. To much of the world, pretty means just that. Beautiful is no longer being smart, having a gentle heart or a kind spirit. Beauty has become a purely physical trait. As sad as that is, it's the truth.
I've seen so many people, so many friends, starve themselves of food or exercise to the extreme, just to lose that extra 5 pounds. Is that really what's important in life? Is pretty and skinny the only way to happiness?
I think not. The most beautiful people I know aren't the skinniest. They are the ones with a smile on their face because they brightened someone's day with a joke or an act of kindness. They are the ones with a twinkle in their eye because they can feel the Spirit of God in their lives. They are the ones with bright rosy cheeks because they just got caught shoving a piece of chocolate into their mouths. The most beautiful people I know are the ones who are kind, generous, thoughtful and SMART.
The MOST beautiful people are the ones with big hearts that are comfortable and confident in being themselves.
I thank Heavenly Father everyday that I can be comfortable with myself. To tell you the truth, I know I'm not the skinniest or prettiest person on the block. I love cupcakes and Dr. Pepper. I know I need to work out, not to lose weight, but to gain muscle and be healthy. I am just glad that understand that I am a Daughter of God. I have an array of talents and qualities that no one else has. I am unique and a devoted friend. I have so much to offer the world and I believe that's what important in life. A pretty face and a flat stomach isn't something you can offer to someone else. The things that are inside you are.
That's what's important. What is inside of you and what you can do for others.

Some Projects

Here is a little shirt dress I made... Very 1940's

An owl stuffy I made for my friend Sam. Sorry it's upside down.

A blessing out my mom and I made for baby Brian

A dress my mom and I made for cousin Emma :)

Poppy quilt I made

The back of this said quilt

A plaque I made for my friend's wedding

A quilt I made with my friend Courtney for our friend Shaylee. Her dad had recently died when we made this.... It has pictures of her and her dad all over it. She cried so much when we gave it to her. It was really great in a way. It made me feel good.

Here is the quilt I'm making for my bed. Great isn't it.

I love to see the temple
An Amazing Woman

Did you read these quotes? Aren't they amazing? Isn't Emma W. amazing? I love how she is so content with being herself... I have a feeling we would get along so well. This girl has been in the public eye her entire adolescence. Instead of going with the rest of the Hollywood crowd and wearing short short skirts and showing almost all of her bosoms, she is tasteful, and though her idea of modesty is slightly different than my own, I appreciate her style and her confidence with being 100% herself.
I completely agree with "the less you reveal the more people can wonder."
I've been reading and watching Harry Potter since I was 9 and I have always loved Emma... This makes me look up to her so much. She is such a good role model. She is poised, tasteful, graceful and hasn't gone off to the loony bin like so many celebrities.
This girl is going to go far!
Yesssss
I am so proud to say that I have officially finished my first semester of college! Let me tell you.... I hated it more than words can describe, but I am hopeful that next semester will be better! I am just so GLAD that I'm done! Having so much free time is awesome!
I don't have much on my mind right now... I've just been sewing... Working on quilts and Christmas presents for the famn damily! I love having the time to sew! I've been watching lots of videos on Netflix too!
I recently watched Elizabeth... It would have been extremely good if it wasn't for the untasteful sex :/
I've also been watching Stephen Fry in America.... It's interesting to see a British view of America.
Of course... I have also been watching lots of Doctor Who. I'm obsessed.
So... I've been thinking... Is it weird that I want my future husband to propose to me dressed up as the Doctor?

Catch up
Hi friends,
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy (late) Thanksgiving!
I am proud to say that this is my last week of class for the semester! Only five more days of this awful schedule and then it's finals week! But I'll probably be done with finals by Thursday.
Next semester is going to be so much better. I only have class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I'm taking accounting, psychology, and human development. Plus a business class and music in religion online. I'm hoping this schedule is going to give me some more time to do homework and I might even go donate plasma! I am so excited!
Ok guys, wish me luck over the next two weeks!
I'll talk to you guys soon

October
Well ladies and gents,
It's October! My favorite time of the year.... And guess what. It doesn't even feel like it! Sure I'm making halloween costumes... But it's barely rained, the leaves haven't been turning and I have no plans for Halloween (that's the first time in 5 years. I always use to do something with a certain friend but since he has threw me outta his life that's not gonna happen.)
Sorry guys, there isn't really anything cool that's happened. I kind of do the same things everyday.
I can't even tell you about a new friend or anything.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARYN! You are the best little sister ever.
